Neil Patel is an American success story. He was born and raised in India, one of five children. His father, a farmer who raised wheat and rice, and his mother taught their children the value of honesty, integrity, brotherhood and the importance of an education. Neil attended college in India and received a degree in Business. In 1979, Neil immigrated to America at the age of 24 with but twenty dollars in his pocket and a dream of a new life in his heart. His start in our nation was humble, as he took his first job helping a friend sell caramel apples in Chicago's Grant Park. Though he had no idea what a caramel apple was on his first day of work, Neil knew he could be a success because he understood the great opportunity afforded to him in America. Neil came to Central Ohio in 1985, and through his own hard work, he was able to purchase a few Dunkin Donuts franchises. Later, he purchased two hotels and started his own insurance agency. More importantly, he married his wife Jagruti, who has a degree in Microbiology and is also a licensed insurance agent.
